SUMMARY

The church of St. Nicolas lies at the rural region of Kampia in Boeotia, around 10 km northwest of the village of Dionysos in the Municipality of Orchomenos. One of the most important monuments of Boeotia and one of the most original works of the so-called «Helladic School» of Middle Byzantine religious architecture, dated to the second quarter of the 12th century according to the prevailing view.
