Glazed Pottery
Glaze: vitreous material applied to vessel or tile prior to firing in a kiln, in order to give a glossy surface after firing.

katun
Small rural settlements of the Albanian-speaking populations in the Greek lands during the Late Middle Ages and the Early Modern Period. At first they were of a seasonal character; some of them developed into places of permanent settlement.

kaza
The basic grade of the Ottoman provincial administration. It included the surrounding region of a city or a town. During the late Ottoman Period it is identified with the kaymakamlık.
